If I am still considering the pre-health/pre-medical path, can I still rush?

You don’t need to be fully committed to a pre-health or pre-medical track to rush. Many of our brothers start with an interest in pre-health, and some later pursue different careers. The experiences and professional skills you gain during your time with our fraternity will be beneficial, no matter where your journey takes you.

What are the minimum requirements to rush?

The only minimum requirement to rush is to adhere to a strict 3.2+ GPA. We are open to all majors and years.

Are all rush events mandatory?

Not all rush events are mandatory, but it is highly recommended for prospective new members to attend as many as possible. To be eligible to apply, you need to attend a minimum of one casual night and one business casual night before Wednesday, when the application is due.

What is the proper attire for rush events?

Casual attire encompasses relaxed and comfortable clothing, often consisting of everyday wear like jeans, t-shirts, casual tops, sneakers, and sandals. Business casual elevates this style by blending professionalism with comfort; it’s essentially a step below business professional. This typically includes slacks paired with a collared shirt, or dress pants with a blouse. Business professional attire is formal and polished from head to toe.

What does the time commitment look like?

During the first quarter, you can anticipate that the new member process will feel similar to an additional 4 or 5-unit class. We hold weekly meetings that last 2 hours, along with events that can vary in duration.

Are there any membership fees?

Yes, there is a one-time initiation fee for the first quarter, followed by quarterly dues starting in the subsequent quarters.
