OUR CHAPTER
THE CA IOTA CHAPTER OF PHI CHI WAS FOUNDED AS A FRATERNITY AT UCLA TO UNITE, EDUCATE, AND MENTOR PRE-MEDICAL AND PRE-HEALTH STUDENTS. ALTHOUGH THIS CHAPTER ONLY HAS UNDERGRADUATE MEMBERS, WE ARE ALL PART OF A GREATER FAMILY OF MEDICAL STUDENTS AND PHYSICIANS WHO STRIVE TO SUCCEED IN THE MEDICAL AND HEALTH PROFESSIONS FROM ALL AROUND THE WORLD.
Our fraternity is more than just an organization – it’s a tight-knit community of like-minded individuals who come together to uplift and support one another.
Through our shared values and passions, we create bonds that go beyond friendship. We collaborate, inspire, and empower each other to reach our fullest potential.
FRIENDSHIP
Through unique experiences, we provide the opportunity to be a part of a supportive community that provides a “home away from home” in which our brothers may find comfort in throughout the stresses of undergraduate and medical school.
INTELLECTUAL GROWTH & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Every member of Phi Chi is a part of impressive extracurricular endeavors, which we offer help and guidance for. Some of our involvements are in many different research labs, medical assistant work, EMT, hospital volunteering, and various community service organizations that bring help where it’s needed. Beyond extracurricular guidance, we have endless resources for advice on coursework and host interview, application, and MCAT workshops to develop members’ professional skills.
SERVICE
Service is at the heart of Phi Chi. As a collective, we extend our support to the wider community, lending a helping hand where it’s needed.
MENTORSHIP & NETWORKING
Whether it’s through alumni connections or partnerships with other organizations, Phi Chi opens doors and paves pathways for our members to thrive in the various pre-health pathways.
This chapter was founded at UCLA on December 6th, 2023 by Simone Livit, Aaron Nguyen, Vyvy Nguyen, and Cassie Nguyen.
